FreeLance, the new scripted series from The Turner Brothers, is officially headed to the 2026 Sundance Film Festival for its world premiere. The pilot will debut within the festival’s Fiction Pilot Showcase, part of Sundance’s curated Episodic section spotlighting standout new voices in comedy, drama, and documentary.
The series follows a young filmmaker—played by Spence Moore II—documenting the messy, hopeful, and wildly creative journey toward making his first movie. Living with a tight-knit circle of ambitious 20-something artists, he navigates the highs and lows of building a career in an oversaturated market. Together, the crew takes on unorthodox jobs, supports one another’s dreams, and tries to keep the lights on while chasing a bigger vision.
